In this article, you will find help for how to correctly start and setup for the first time your e-WG100 Emerit watch. If you're already familiar with this steps, look into Configuration or Usage folders for additional information.

III. Charging
It is recommended to turn off the watch before charging it to avoid any untimely alarm in the event of poor contact, a cable not connected to the mains or a power failure. Charge the watch after each period of use.
- Charging cycle of a completely empty battery: about 2 hours
Make sure the charging icon is displayed after a few seconds. It then disappears after 5 seconds.
While charging, it is possible to check its progress at any time by briefly pressing the power ON/OFF button.
Using the USB cable
Adjust the watch by matching the magnetic connectors on the back side with those on the USB cable.
Connect the other end of the USB cable to the USB charger and plug the charger into the mains.
Using the charging station (optional accessory)
Fit the watch by matching the magnetic connectors on the rear face with the one of the docking station.
Connect the end of the USB cable to the USB charger and plug the charger into the mains.
IV. SIM card insertion
The SIM card must have a subscription with the DATA option active in addition to voice and SMS. The security of the SIM card must be disabled (no PIN code) before it is inserted into the watch. PIN code security can be deactivated in the Settings / Security menu after inserting the SIM card into a smartphone.

1. Remove the protection from the SIM card slot
Use the screwdriver supplied with the watch and unscrew the security screw of the SIM card slot protection. Remove the protection by first lifting the end where the screw insertion hole is located.
2. SIM card insertion
Respect the direction of insertion indicated, slight press until the SIM card locks in the slot with the sound of a click.
3. Put back SIM card slot protection
Position the guard by first inserting the end opposite the screw hole. Apply enough pressure with your thumb so that the protector is fully seated at both ends.
Use the screwdriver supplied with the watch to tighten the security screw.
V. First boot
Before using the device for the first time, ask your operator for the APN code relating to the SIM card, which is essential for the Internet connection (IP connection). In some cases, it may be necessary to program it manually via a SMS command, cf. Error notifications and solutions
After charging the watch, remove it from its charging system and then press and hold the power ON/OFF button for at least 2 seconds.
The watch enters its initialization phase during which it checks if a software update is available and downloads it automatically.
During this initialization phase, the main screen is displayed, the watch vibrates regularly (double short vibrations) and the different phases are indicated by the symbols described below.

The initialization phase ends with an incomplete configuration notification associated with long vibrations. This notification is displayed for 1 minute and can be canceled at any time by short pressing on the SOS button.
Once the first boot has been carried out, go to www.emerit-console.com to complete the configuration of the watch.

VI. Power ON / OFF
Power ON
After charging the watch, remove it from its charging system and then press and hold the on / off button for at least 2 seconds. The watch enters its initialization phase during which it checks whether:
- A new configuration is available and downloads it automatically
- A software update is available and downloads it automatically
Note that in the event that an update is downloaded, the watch will automatically restart after the download is complete and then begin its initialization phase again.
During this initialization phase, the main screen is displayed, the watch vibrates regularly (double short vibrations) and the different phases are indicated by the symbols described opposite.
The initialization phase ends with an "alert system activated" notification associated with long vibrations. This notification is displayed for 1 minute and can be canceled at any time by briefly pressing the SOS button.

Power OFF
To turn OFF the watch, briefly press the on/off button to turn on the screen, then press and hold the on/off button for at least 2 seconds until the extinction symbol appears and release the button. The watch turns off automatically after a few seconds.
Note that if the on/off button is kept pressed for more than 8 seconds, the device will not turn off but reboot.
